Patricia Martinez Burr, PhD, LPCC, NCC is the owner, Clinical Director, and CCSS Supervisor of our group practice Lotus Flower Counseling, LLC.
Dr. Burr has 30+ years of experience as a clinical mental health practitioner, researcher, and educator on attachment and bonding. She now offers her expertise to supervise and guide her team of therapists through a trauma informed lens.
She specializes in EMDR, relational trauma and relationship issues; whether self with self; self with intimate/interpersonal other; parent-child; or familial relationships.
She has a PhD in Family Studies, an MA in Counseling, and BS in Psychology, and previously had her own private practice for over 29 years. She taught at the graduate level as an Assistant Professor in Counseling; and trained as a Clinical Trauma Professional with IATP; trained in Infant Mental Health; and Circle of Security Intensive and Parenting.

Cecilia Flores, MA, LMHC graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in Psychology and received her Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from NM Highlands University.
Cecilia specializes in trauma, anxiety, and ADHD with both adolescents and adults. Cecilia is very person-centered and tailors therapy to meet clients individual needs. Cecilia is deeply committed to working with our community, emphasizing cultural awareness, and supporting the LGBTQ+ population.
Cecilia works with adolescents and prioritizes establishing a genuine connection where they feel seen, heard, and validated. Some techniques used with adolescents are therapeutic expression through art, sand tray, and talk therapy. Together, Cecilia and her teen clients work on issues such as self-esteem building, navigating relationships, peer pressure, ADHD skill-building, anxiety, and trauma.
She also works with adults and focuses on the importance of building a therapeutic relationship where they feel safe to explore their inner self to find the answers for healing. Cecilia uses therapy modalities that include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic techniques, and psychoeducation. Cecilia and her adult clients work together on issues such as stress, adult ADHD, trauma, navigating relationships, self-esteem building, implementing boundaries, and life transitions.
Cecilia also provides Comprehensive Community Support Services to Medicaid recipients (adolescents and adults) in need of support through their recovery of mental health disorders. These services might include coaching and support in employment, education, individual daily activities, leisure, and recreation.

Veronica is a clinical mental health counselor specializing in relational trauma. She believes the inherent therapeutic goal is to achieve greater self-understanding in order to gain a healthy self and improve relationships with others.
As a bilingual and bicultural counselor and a daughter of an immigrant, Veronica understands the unique challenges individuals from diverse backgrounds may encounter. Also, being fluent in both English and Spanish allows Veronica to create a safe and inclusive space for clients to express themselves.
Veronica's educational background includes a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, including a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions. Her specialties include assisting clients: navigate and heal from complex trauma within interpersonal relationships; and gain self-understanding and reclaim their sense of self for a healthier and more fulfilling connections with others.
Veronica is a LGBTQ+ advocate and recognizes the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals encounter and offers a safe and affirming space for healing.

Lioudmila "Mila" Reinikainen, MA, LPCC, is a dedicated and experienced counselor who has spent over 8 years helping adolescents and adults work through trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. Elisa Romero, MA, LMHC, earned her BA in psychology from the University of New Mexico and her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University. Elisa is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who believes in meeting each client exactly where they are in their healing journey.

Jen Beno is currently working toward completion of her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University. She has also earned a BS in Psychology and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Mexico. Her prior experience as an occupational therapist allowed her the opportunity to work with individuals toward improving quality of life and wellbeing using a holistic approach to physical, mental, and emotional development. Jen brings this holistic perspective into her counseling philosophy.
Jen follows a humanistic and trauma-informed approach. She supports clients in their personal growth and healing process from a place of compassion, acceptance, and empathy. Jen guides clients in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and emotions while incorporating mindfulness, psychoeducation, and a strengths-based philosophy. Michelle is a Community Support Worker within our practice. She provides support via the Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) program funded by HSD.
She has extensive experience in Medicaid programs, nursing facility level of care, and community resource programs.
Michelle uses a coaching approach and helps clients set goals to build recovery and resiliency. She assists and educates clients with techniques to help set goals for daily living, education, employment, socialization, and recreation activities.
